The Journey is a unique book… as far as we know, the first of its kind. It is a genuine contemporary novel and at the same time, it is a book about self-discovery, personal growth-and building a home-based business through network marketing. The Journey is the story of a young woman, Annie, who grows up full of hopes and dreams, marries, then watches in despair over the next decade and a half as her dreams stall and her marriage falters.

In Annie's desperate determination to save her marriage and find a new track to run on, she bumps into two books that start her journey: Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich and Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad Poor Dad. Annie pursues a connection she has made on the Internet with a woman named Rose. Her first casual meeting with the woman in a coffee shop leads her into some unexpected self-reflection.

Annie learns that Rose has created, for herself and for her own family, a lifestyle that mirrors the hopes and dreams Annie had grown up with. Their friendship and a business relationship blossom; Rose becomes a mentor for Annie. Discovering the world of a home-based business becomes a part of the journey through which Annie struggles to unravel a lifetime of assumptions and choices.

The lessons she's learned from her own struggles, from Hill, Kiyosaki, and many other great authors, are all put to the test on an intensely personal level. Annie takes a leap of faith. She starts a home-based business and quits her job while traveling a journey to become the person she needs to be in order to live the life she so deeply wants.
